The strength has nothing to do with the quality and very often the higher strengths (11.5 upwards) are not so good.
Only decant reds (if you really must). Reds need to breathe but whites do not.
The dimple on the bottom comes from the days of Champagnes and fortified wines etc and was only there to make the bottle itself stronger, so is not really a mark of how good the wine is.
Finally, if the picture is good on the bottle then it is probably cr*p wine!

Ask your dentist about whitening. I dont think it costs that much nowadays.
My dentist even does botox now but if i asked for some he would run out of stock lol

Shame he cant remove some of my boobies and add a bit to my face lol

Have to admit a dread when I go to the dentist. Not because of the fillings - it's the colour of me teef!!!

Maybe meths would stain them less LOL

The dent is for the sediment to lay in. Do not pour the last bit - it will effect the taste of the wine but will not make you ill. At one time only the more expensive wines had the dent but now .,...any wine can have it!! The wine is supposed to be decanted to allow it to breathe - as if !. lol

I worked in an off licence for 6 years and the depth of the dent in the bottom is a new one on me

you use the dent to put your thumb up when pouring

Shiraz is lovely, full bodied and fruity. The dent in the bottle is there for a purpose but I can't remember what it is.

MrsBucketBouquet Report 14 Oct 2007 00:41

I was given a bottle of red wine. I know nothing except it comes in red/white or rose lol

Bushland Australian 2006 SHIRAZ

I was told that you can tell if it's a good bottle by the depth of the dent at the bottom of the bottle....true?

I just think I'm being done as that dent means I get less wine in the bottle LOL

Gerri x (usually drink terps or meths lol)
