LOL sorry! I deleted cos I realised I had it wrong! I have got a good bread recipe though (for a bread maker) in ounces......

I do know that a half a pound tub of marg' is 250 grammes if that heps lol

The following was easy!....£-S-D (pounds shillings and pence)



12 pennies made one shilling (a bob) 1/s



10 bob was 1/2 a pound. (10 bob) 10/s



240 pennies to a pound £1/s



A guninea was one pound one shilling. (£1/1s) used by posh people.



Threpence was 3 pennies. (3d) a threpenny bit.



Sixpence was a tanner. 6d (half a bob 12d)



2 shillings and 6pence was 2/6d (half a crown)



a farthing was a quarter of 1 penny. (you could buy 2 gobstoppers!)



1 penny (1d) got you 8 black jacks or 8 fruit salads.(sweets)



19/11 was just one penny off a pound (you could buy a shift dress for this!)...dont ask...





Why dont they make it easy! like in the olden days?!!!!!!
