not talking about people on site i'm talking real life. Do you hate anyone REALLY? I do and I'm trying really hard to overcome it - I don't like to feel like this at all as it is so powerful I resent the hold it has on me. Anyone else feel like this? Or if you have and have overcome it - how did you manage it? xx

Diana if it were aimed at me I'd be as cool as a cucumber but it's not - it's aimed at one of the people I love most. I can't cope with keeping my mouth shut but I have to. gggggggrrrrrrrrrrrxx

I have hated, and felt so much guilt as a result. I found that in the end it was just taking over my life and thoughts. Then I decided that it wasn't worth the stress and the energy. I worked out that I could pity this person, because it was her who was the one who was missing out.

I get the occasional pang of guilt these days, but i can now talk myself out of it. And she has reaped what she sowed.

Don't let it eat you up, Muffy. Hating someone so much takes away something from you.. they don't give a toss.

Well said Daff, its what I was trying to say before.

I really want to be at that stage Daff where I can just laugh it off. IF it were aimed at me I'd find it dead easy to - but it's not. My protective instincts are on full alert and I don't like how I feel just at the mo. I know I'm letting them win by wasting the energy on them and your advice is good. My head is just about 3 steps behind logic at the mo I think xx

Done so for 25 years, didn't hurt me, hurt one of my brothers. It eventually killed him.

Trouble is I have to see the old cow on web sites, and used to be on TV and radio too damn often. I cannot tell you how much hatred all the family felt.

can't in real life say I hate anyone-HATE is such a strong term and to me it is only termed very loosely.
I dislike people but would not use the term hate. cos hate to me means you will never like them forever. And I like to give everyone the benefit of the doubt. maybe I am narrow minded but then that's my view

Under normal circumstances I'd be right with you on that one Catherine. I have been cross with people and disliked people before. This is the first time I have ever felt burning hate. And I don't like it one bit and I want it gone. It's horrible.xx

I understand how you are feeling.. This woman hurt my baby only this week, and it was deliberately aimed so that it would hurt me. It is so hard to put that to one side, I dealt with it for 30 odd years when it was aimed at me. But when it is aimed at others that is so hard to take.

But please try to rise above it. To react brings you to their level, and we are worth soooo much more. Pity uses so much less of your emotion. But it will sting them so much more than your hatred ever could. Indifference is even better, eventually. In time.
