I have been accused in the past of things I haven't done and that's bad enough without someone being able to post it!!

I agree that if people upset ya then you should ignore them and their posts!

Yes I am owed an apology or four. None as yet have been forthcoming. However one lives in hope.

No need for you to apologise Faith, its the others who need to apologise. I personally find it very funny that suspicion on these boards has gone so far that everyone is checking and double checking anyone they may have crossed swords with, or anyone who talks to those they have crossed swords with.

Does it make them any better for it? I think not LOL

Yes you were accused of being me I do recall that, numerous others were too.

I can only once again apologise for this and hope that yourself and the other unfortunate board members were not unduely upset or tainted by such accusations.

I cannot understand the mentality of these amateur detectives who see one being discussed elsewhere and add 2 plus 2 together and make 26.

I think sometimes Faith, you are seen as the second membership, or the alter ego. I have been accused of being you as you know LOL. Then again I have felt the fingers pointed at me as Green Wellies, and no doubt various others.

I laugh it off,as I do have only one account, but if my name was put up on a board like that I would hit the roof,and be very hurt and upset.

The risk of hurting innocent members does not stop some from accusing, so a board like this can only serve to make matters worse.

to name and shame woud be wrong unless everyone was in agreement that the person named was 110% a trouble causer......................And that will never happen as we all have different views and different friends.

What I may see as trouble another may see as banter etc.

If in doubt stay clear of the people you personally think may be trouble.............It works for me.

I have lost track of the amount of times I have been named and shamed and apparently proven to have been somebody else on these boards.

The sad truth is. Some people are not good detectives, and those same people are often out to cause trouble for people with whom they hold a grudge for previous disagreements.

I would respectfully suggest that people are taken at face value and treated as such until absolute evidence is gleaned or not as the case may be.

The general board would be a much nicer place to inhabit under those rules.

It would not work, unless the thread or PM that upset could also be attached for everyone to read and judge for themselves.
Otherwise people out to cause trouble would just say "so and so upset me" and no-one would know the truth of it.

I hope if I upset anyone they will always say so to me, and if I didn't intend to I will try and make amends!

Bad idea. So easy to make a mistake and name the wrong person. Much better to try and ignore it. If you must name somebody for a specific action and you have proof send that proof to GR to deal with it, don't try and deal with it yourself.

I think GR would use their powers and shut the whole thread down. From personal experience, they don't deal with situations, they just delete the threads they're not happy with especially if it criticises them in any way.

Don't do it! Just ignore the trouble makers!

think of those that have left due to the finger wrongly pointed or been blamed for taking sides when they have been quite innocent

As the person who did annoy/ upset me was/ is a very prominent member of the board, I think if I put the name and complained I would be lynched!
