what would people say if on here their was a board you could put peoples name that have upset you in one way or another

Ok in principle,but I have a feelign with so much suspicion around, some peoples names may be added in spite, because they believe they might be this person or that person. Fingers have been pointed in the wrong direction before.

I think we would get knocked down with the rush:-) lol

think it would cause more upsets,the boards are quietish at the mo.

and you would probably get the usual bully causing strife ;)

I think it would be grounds for bullying and there are one or two of those around already without doing anything to aid them.

The best thing to do with a bully is ignore them - dont respond or rise to the bait.

If you make your own choice on whose thread to reply to and who not to a certain pattern will natuarly evolve.

The bullys will only talk to each other - and eventually only the biggest bully will be left as they would have scared the other bullies off .... but be left with no one to talk to.

I look at it a bit like was it Darwin - who said about Natural Selection - yes I know he said about evolution but I am talking about natural selection here.

Dont rise to the bullies and they will eventually die off.

I would walk away and never come back, as naming can some times land folk with egg on their face, when they have named the wrong person, I have known some very nice folk be hounded off this site because of difference of opinions, so naming would be worse, remember when a name is written down folk see it, and if you delete it later those that have seen it will still think of that person as guilty. tread careful, as any one of us could be named by mistake.

At the time it might make you feel better - but then it's a permanant reminder and would cause more friction and split the board into even more 'groups' than we have now.....
I have had 'words' with the odd few on here, but wouldn't dream of adding them to any lists - once i've said my piece it's done....End of.....

There is a fine line between victim and bully....and sometimes we cross that line and become the bully ourselves.....But use the term 'standing up to them' as our excuse......

Best to 'have it out' clear the air, then get on with the fun stuff...

Best thing is not to respond to a thread / post when you feel you are being goaded by members, bullies or whoever .

Without fuel they can't stoke their fire.

As the person who did annoy/ upset me was/ is a very prominent member of the board, I think if I put the name and complained I would be lynched!

think of those that have left due to the finger wrongly pointed or been blamed for taking sides when they have been quite innocent

I think GR would use their powers and shut the whole thread down. From personal experience, they don't deal with situations, they just delete the threads they're not happy with especially if it criticises them in any way.

Don't do it! Just ignore the trouble makers!

Bad idea. So easy to make a mistake and name the wrong person. Much better to try and ignore it. If you must name somebody for a specific action and you have proof send that proof to GR to deal with it, don't try and deal with it yourself.

It would not work, unless the thread or PM that upset could also be attached for everyone to read and judge for themselves.
Otherwise people out to cause trouble would just say "so and so upset me" and no-one would know the truth of it.

I hope if I upset anyone they will always say so to me, and if I didn't intend to I will try and make amends!

I have lost track of the amount of times I have been named and shamed and apparently proven to have been somebody else on these boards.

The sad truth is. Some people are not good detectives, and those same people are often out to cause trouble for people with whom they hold a grudge for previous disagreements.

I would respectfully suggest that people are taken at face value and treated as such until absolute evidence is gleaned or not as the case may be.

The general board would be a much nicer place to inhabit under those rules.
