Might be worth while getting a price for jointing instead, it works out cheaper.

Hi Susan, he isn't answering his phone, I'm so sorry as he would be able to give you a realistic price. I'll ask him when he gets home and mail you.

Thanks for that paul. any ideas how much for materials? ( roughly).

Just told Oh that no they dont do it in Tescos and no you cant get it done for £1-99.

He built a conservatory once ..had a fit at the price of a bought one.....brilliant job(eventually )......Turned out it cost him more in time and money than it would have to have got someone in...labour and materials included.....sigh!

See what Tina's OH says first. My OH isn't actually a plasterer....but he's renovated plenty of houses....and I usually get the job of painting them!

Susan719813 Report 28 Sep 2007 19:53

Isnt Yorkshire Cheaper? I know Northumberland is a lot cheaper in most places......

Have to laugh.....oh has just calculated it to £625 and his comment was...........WOT! you can get a house built for that!......looks as if I may have a problem with him and the parting of money.....this is one time I am going to put me foot down though. lol
