I know 3 people who really need all the good vibes they can get and I know you lot will oblige :-))

1 my uncle who is 82 has been in hospital for over a week with a chest infection. he was doing really well at one point, then went downhill. although he is chair-bound, I know he would love to get back home as soon as poss - especially as he will be missing his little cat.

2 my friend's nephew who is 10 is going into hospital tomorrow to have a metal hip put in. he has some sort of bone disease (sorry I don't know the name of it) and has been on crutches for some time. he is a lovely boy (we saw him at the weekend, my kids get on well with him) and a promising footballer already signed up for West Ham. he doesn't realise, but after the op he will have to give up all sports entirely and will be off from school for some months. I think the operation tomorrow is quite a long one, so the first thing is for him to get safely through that.

3 saw my brother-in-law's father on bank hol monday at a family party. I was shocked by how much weight he had lost and how ill he looked. apparently he has no appetite or energy and this change in him has been really sudden. he has been for some tests and is waiting for results. hopefully it will be something that can be sorted simply.

Thank you very much for reading this and for any thoughts/prayers that you can spare.
