	Just to say that the operation today took longer than expected but went to plan. Will update again when I hear more news. My uncle is apparently improving again slowly - now hoping to be home sometime next week. Thanks everyone. Maz. XX

Member Since: June 2003 Posts: 772 Send Message	Hi Maz, positive thoughts for all 3, especially the little boy. Is it Perthe's Disease he has? My little boys friend had this 2 years ago when he was 9. He loved football and was devastated when he had to have the operation. Good news is that 2 years on, after the op and being on crutches, then having the plate removed, he has been given a clean bill of health and has just last week signed back on with his football team. He just needs to get his fitness level up now. Although it will seem like a long time for him, there is light at the end of the tunnel and before he knows it he should be playing football again. Special thoughts for him. Carol x
