I'll agree with that Gwynne, Ann does do a lot of work, unpublicised too. |

I ought to have no hesitation in agreeing with Gwynne. However, I've never really been convinced that republics are any more equitable. |

I absolutely admire the Queen, what a long reign and how very boring most of it must have been! I love the pomp, the palaver, the horses, the colour, the tradition, the history. Wont be joining Gwynne by the guillotine:-) lol BC XX |

True in a way Fiona, but the monarchy don't have much say in the running of the country any more, we are almost a republic anyway. |

I think they do bring in a lot of tourism and therefore money to London, they maintain some 'national treasures' in terms of houses, parks etc and art which otherwise might be lost to America etc. |

I respect and admire the Queen, and Anne seems to be making herself useful quietly and effectively. Charles however seems to be the epitomy of the upper class twit,he did apparently fail to recognise or grasp the skills required to operate a tea bag. Perhaps he should follow the example of an illustrious ancestor and clear orf to France with his bint. Andrew appears to have a good head on his shoulders but seems to be incredibly self centred. The majority of the hangers on seem to have no grasp of REAL LIFE. Their main worry seems to be where the next banquet is coming from. |
