Nick, so glad you can enjoy the happy memories of your brother Chris, time does ease the pain but our loved ones are always in a special place in our hearts and it doesn't take much, a song, a word or a special date, to bring them to mind again. Today should be like any other day But its 23 years since Chris went away The years have somehow eased the pain But the memories will still remain The laughs we had when were young Everything was so much fun Playing games..you were always the winner Setting the table for Sunday dinner The rides we’d take upon our bikes The Cub Scout group with their long hikes....! Skateboarding into town was really hard And we’d always get caught by some security guard.....lol Then being at school with my big brother Was a feeling like no other I was taken in by all your mates And even the girls asked me out for dates..... You always looked out for me....as you did I was now ‘Our Little Kid’ That made feel so safe and proud To be accepted in your big crowd Then going to gigs....the clothes we’d wear Scruffy buggers with dyed blue hair We must’ve looked a proper sight But we always had a damn good night Then onto pubs and girls and bikes All those things our mum dislikes We’d sometimes get in so much bother but always watch out for one another So today is not like any other Todays the day I lost my brother And every day i’ll always miss The one I loved....My Brother Chris
