Hi Sylvia :):) It really does bring a shiver doesnt it. I think its something we dont think about until it happens. A couple of years ago a neighbour of ours knocked on our door and asked If I could help take a mouse out of her house, being brave , Yeah right lol I went along and asked where it was. Oh its under the small cupborad there she said, the cat had brought it in. I crept down on the floor and stuck my head under that cupboard, Corr blimey I almost leapt up in the air when confronted by an injured rat lol I must have looked a picture when I said hold on a minute I just want to pop home and get ready, I came back looking like rambo lol Lucky enough for the rat I took two things with me that day, a fishing net and an air rifle that I borrowed. The rat escaped by kindly being caught in the net :):) Colin :):) |

Hi Marion :):) Thats very true, modern day living and fast food is attracting more and more into towns etc to. Also now with bin collections happening fortnightly up and down the country I think we may see a change for the worst not so far away. Colin :):) |

Hi Catherine, Ann, Trish & Sue :):) Its is a scary thought really when you think of it, we see the odd occassional one but two in a short space of time suddenly brought it home about the sewers and things. Ann, with the floods so close to you also, rats would certainly be something to watch out for :( I think given the option I would rather see the rats then snakes to. We have a few cats close to home so hopefully they will keep most away, thats when they are not fighting amongst themselves lol The cats around here are so territorial :):) Colin :):) |

Hi Everyone Rats, big Rats anyone else started to see any of these. I was driving home last night evening, it was dark and raining We live very close to a creek where the drains over flow when in a system overload. Rats live down those sewers and with all this constant rain the rats are starting to look for other places to live. One on the main road home and one not far from the house this morning. I just hope all this rain starts to dry up soon. Colin |
