Member Since: June 2005 Posts: 475 Send Message	Where I am we don't need central heating but most homes in Melbourne do. I should imagine that Canberra would have it as well. I lived in Cairns for 16 years before coming back to Brisbane and I am still getting used to the cold, even though in terms from UK and Canberra this cold is laughable. Fran from Oz
