Deer, Pewit, Badger,Thursh, Fieldmouse and Wren Sites are not too bad for the bugs..but if your on a site beyond the shower block then watch out best to make a lot of smoke with your fire to keep them at bay ........ May I join in? We don't have any girls, so we are involved in Boy Scouts and have been for 12 years now. I'm currently a "Roundtable" Commissioner, a new unit commissioner and I help with training. Sure miss being a leader, for Tigers, Cubs and Webelos! I've found myself having just as much fun as the boys, too!! We're short leaders over here, too. Pity what parents are missing out on, eh?

Shelli, Don't you feel left out? Wouldn't you like to join us? You do have to be slightly crazy, but you'd have a lot of fun!!!!!! Hope your daughter has a great time at camp!!

Not compulsory to drink to have been in the bar at Charnwood - sing, dance, have a good time, make a fool of yourself - Yes - but drink? No!! Was at last three Charny's too - Staff Catering '91, Laughterland (with Ady) '96, Admin (with Hadyn) 2001. Also went to at least one Le Paw (I think) at a very cold windy airbase as I remember!! May know you by sight if nothing else. If you checked the message board for the last Charny, I was Mother Molly with the bedjacket and pink fluffy slippers!! Didn't go to County HQ for son's Beaver uniform as we have local agent, but 75th are planning family camp at JLW this year so may bump into you then. Are you going to one of the UK/World Jambo's in '05/'07?

Hiya, I was a Brownie and Guide, my sister was a Brown Owl and now my daughter has been a Rainbow and is now a Brownie. She is going on her first pack holiday in March - what a great carrot for good behaviour between now and then!! She is SOOO excited!! Jamie will start Cubs at Xmas when he is 7. Most kids there seem to have parents who were guides/scouts themselves and can understand about it! Its so important that they learn about helping others, good manners etc from an early age and with their peers. Maz. XX

Greetings yourself, Mike from Leicester!! Have I met you in the bar at Charnwood I wonder?? Currently associated with 75th, used to work with 58th. Yes, I know you've dropped the "Boy" bit - but to the outside world you will always be "Boy" Scouts with knobbly knees, just as we will always be "Girl" Guides dressed in Blue!! Happy Founder's Day to you!! Maggie

Genuine replies only please!! OK, so there aren't many bell ringers out there - tho I have found a bunch of Trefoil Guilders who ring bells!!. What about Girl Guides? (And if you're an ex Girl Guide, why not come back as a leader? - we have hundreds of girls on waiting lists and not enough leaders!!). Happy Thinking Day from Ranger Guider in Leicestershire!!
