Grampa Jim Please don’t give up because some people haven’t checked your list properly or are asking for things you don’t have. I’m sure your list will be of great value to others who may, possibly, not even have seen your kind offer yet. Unfortunately none of my lines are in the areas you’re offering, otherwise I’d be banging on your door. Joan x |

Jim I sent you a serious reply but I got the no page found thingy. I wanted to say that I have been helped by a lovely lady on the boards who has done look ups for me. I cannot get out and about as I used to. You are helping people like that. So for give us our stupidities. deanna :-x) |

Please rethink Jim, i have been a member only a short while and even after payng my money and joining wasn't aware of the boards. After a few fruitless weeks of looking i was thinking of stopping as i thought it was an impossible task. I then stumbled into the boards where people were offering lookups. Within a few days i had made great progress and found other avenues to explore. I wouldn't be here if it was not for the kindness of people like your self offering their time and expertise. So although you get the odd person not taking the time to read the thread/info properly you will get the odd appreciative person. |

hi, i do know what you mean. everyone who offers look ups gets this ! i usually send them a polite message explaining why [ for instance] i cannot find someone on the census before they were born. or why i am not able to search for someone 'somewhere in leeds' [i do not have enough hours in the day..............] etc. lol. sue. |

Thank you for your support......I will wear it continually. Just letting off steam folks, BUT....If anyone asks me for info not on the list I will probably give them the sort of scathing reply that we used to receive when I was at school and someone said something stupid. The World has been warned. By the way I have 32 Smiths in my Tree too. |
