I had 2 girls and 2boys. They were different alright but it was, one of each NOT girl or boy. One boy was soooo easy, and one girl too. If that seems all daft to you , its because its tooo early for me! Deanna;-0(

Sons - Hands down!!!!!

Mags Report 2 Mar 2005 06:09

I have one of each - adults now - and by all accounts I have been very lucky! No real problems with either of them. What's the saying though?...It goes something like... 'A boy's a son 'til he gets him a wife...A girl's a daughter for all of her life.' ?? - It's something like that and probably quite true. Although my son isn't yet married, the relationship I have with my daughter is different to that I have with my son although I love them both the same. If this is your first girl Kylie - and your first experience of girl's nappies - there MAY be something that no-one but big gob me will mention on here - but it is perfectly normal. She may 'spot' in her nappy - don't panic - it's just her 'women's bits' starting up! LOL Enjoy her! Magsxx

KYLIE I HAVE A GIRL ALSO CALLED KYLIE SHES NEARLY 16 AND 2 BOYS 12 AND 4 IN SOME WAYS AND IN DIFFERENT STAGES IN THEIR LIVES IT IS EASIER TO BRING ONE UP FROM THE OTHER , I FOUND THAT GIRLS TOILET TRAIN BETTER THAN THE BOYS AND GIRLS ARE MORE INDEPENDANT AND MORE MATURE THAN BOYS BUT EACH ARE THEIR OWN PERSON NOW THAT MY GIRL IS NEARLY 16 THE BOYS ARE EASIER AS THE GIRL WANTS TO GO OUT MORE AND WE HAVE TO ACCEPT THAT SHE IS GROWING UP AND AT TIMES WE ARE OVER PROTECTIVE YOU'LL BE OK DONNA

Kylie, I have 2 girls age 12 and 10, and a boy of 9months. It made me jump everytime I changed his nappy for the first few weeks as I wasn't used to the extra bit. lol I had really wanted another girl as I couldn't imagine feeling the same way about a boy, also thought better the devil you know!!! Of course I fell instantly in love with him and it made no difference at all. At the moment he is much harder work than the girls were, he is such a livewire and is is on the go non stop, still wakes every 1-2hrs at night [ahhhhhgggg!] and is into absolutley everything. My girls get on really well together and any quarrels are over and done with in minutes, almost never getting physical. However my eldest has been a bit of a Kevin since she was 8, which can be a trial. She's either really sweet and loving or horrid! My middle ones the easiest, excellent company and very loving . But I love them all with all my heart. Good luck x

Daughters! I have one of each... a very stubborn girl and a wonderfully loving boy, as well as a magnificent step-son who has just done the hardest task by telling everyone he thinks he bats for the other side. I love them all in different ways, and wouldn't swop one of them, but have to say the boys are all easier to deal with. Magi

Nanny to 4 boys & baby girl, all have so many different qualities but to be honest even though I love her dearly the boys are angels compared to there sister.

There really isn't an answer to this question, it's purely subjective. I have one of each, they have their own unique qualities and personalities, it would be impossible for me to choose which one was 'easier'

Hi Kylie, hope your getting plenty of rest! I've got two of each and would agree with Debbie. I think wee boys are more affectionate, girls want to grow up too quickly. As for arguing, all mine argue, from the 19 year old down to the 5 year old! LOL Christine

My little girl aged 9 was my first and she was adorable, until her little brother came along. I was scared of changing his nappy, I think the girls nappy is easier. Now the little girl is so Bitchy and horrible to her 6 year old brother, I feel so sorry for him. I think boys are more loving and cuddlier. She hates getting near me now, I suppose it's cause I am all ways telling her to stop picking on him. I myself have 3 sisters and when we all lived together we had our arguments but it wasnt that bad. I think every child is different. You will love her.

I remember my daughter being a lovely polite doll playing little girl up until the age of about ten (when they start middle school) .....it then changes, I remember my son being a rough and tumble lad always getting dirty and fighting with his friends until the age of about ten(when he went up to middle school) the roles reversed, he s now a polite, friendly lad who respects his friends and helps me around the house,my daughter resembles Kevin(impressonated by Harry enfield)....but has more attitude..........Thank goodness I only have one daughter. At least sons can change the headlight bulb on their car on their own, whereas I froze my fingers off on Sunday changing one on my daughter's Mondeo. Left hand Mondeo bulbs are a pig, the battery and another control box are directly behind the light unit so there's no space to work in. Needed a large whisky by the time I'd finished.

Was just thinking that. Girls squabble and bitch endlessly. Boys just punch each other then go out and play football. Daisy

Karen - that carries on into adulthood doesn't it - men argue but then its done, and often forgotten. Women remember EVERYTHING lol
