Nope - not even a box of choccies. Number 2 is too young to do anything and number 1 has gone to live with his Dad and says I'm no longer his Mum. |

I got both Bridget Jones DVDs from my 2 (grown up) kids. Son Richard had rugby training today and daughter Emma is away at uni, so hubby John cooked the dinner. Haven't done a thing all day and could get used to it! Maggy |

Hi, my 15 (almost 16) year old daughter MADE me a beautiful collage of photographs of me over the years. Some with her dad, some with herself and her 2 brothers. In the middle, was a beautiful poem. It was all in a lovely frame. I was sooo touched. My 19 year old son had flowers and chocolates delivered today. We have had a few problems with him in the past, starting with him not attending school for the last 12 months of his school year, not doing many of his exams, despite him attending a Grammar school and being really intelligent. He had not worked since leaving school and attended a computer course, which he got thrown off for bad attendance. He had a kind of breakdown last year and went missing. However, at the beginning of this year, he turned his life around and gained a responsible position at a school, as an ICT Technican, exactly what he wanted to do! He is not one for many words, but the card on his flowers to me today said 'Thank you for getting me here'. I am so happy. Even though we all still have our disagreements, I think we are getting there and it is nice to feel appreciated. Happy mothers day to all the mothers out there!! Carol. x |
