Hi Dave. I also was brought up RC. Although not as religious now as i once was as a child, i still do not eat meat on good friday. It is only one day out of 365 days, and it is my way of respecting my faith. We will be eating fish to-night for dinner, as will my children and grandchildren. Tony Oz |

Dave, we always have fish on Good Friday. Tandoori Cod at lunchtime, this year. You really must try the recipe I posted for you. If you are wondering why I am still awake. See my new thread. Jenny xx |

I was brought up RC though my Dad wasn't but we never ate meat on Good Friday even my Dad.Though my wife is not catholic either she has been brought up not to eat meat on Good Friday either. It doesnt bother me because I love fish anyway. But I can remember the time when I was young when catholics didnt eat meat any Friday.Do you still follow this old tradition? Dave |
