Could be a slipped disc - they're extremely painful. The doctor should come out to see you if you're in agony. I think you're right about changing! If it's not getting any better, I think you should go to hospital. At least there, you'll get seen. I just noticed you posted this yesterday (SORRY!! :((() Hope you're feeling a bit better today :)

Sue ring back and demand home visit, if not get your son to do it when he arrives home. Had this problem with mums dr last week told him after he told me to put mum in taxi to go to surgery. I told him I would report him he came out within the hour and mum was being treated same day (iv drips) needed. Hope you feel better soon, keep thread updated. suex

sounds like kidney infection type pain or water infection doesnt it sue, whats your casualty department like? i suffer a lot with my back and my one GP is great its just getting to see him is hassle, he hates the new out of hours service and has complained loads, he says it was better before when you could get hold of a GP hope you can get it sorted soon

Sue that is disgusting how do they know what is wrong over the phone. We are very lucky our doctors are very good and have time to chat after diagnosis

hubby on his train somewhere near manchester. am giving the ibuprofens a bit longer- but really am starting to think it isnt my back. i do a lot of lifting at work, and on the rare occasion i have had back ache, it has not been like this, and not in the same place. son is due back soon, will see what i feel like then. ah , and thanks everyone, i feel better for having a moan. and on the plus side, am not feeling guilty [for a change] for lying here , playing on genes !

Sue - it really is not a good idea to leave this and wait for it to get better or wait for an alternative appointment. It needs checking out ASAP. Any bother - tell them Bendy sent you. lol.

i wish you lived nearer too ! i am running out of chocolate... lol. it probably is just a touch of alcoholic poisoning. i havnt been right since i went out on sunday...lol.
