haha how chav are we!! we bought a rat yesterday!! yes i hear you squirming!! LOL...i did try and put up a fight, but as soon as we got to the big pet place and i saw this one rat it just looked adorable...so i agreed! We got him home and within half an hour he had bitten the fella twice....so i named him Nasher!! Apperently they are really intelligent animals and as long as we handle him alot and keep him near us he will be very tame and loving!!!?....he is cute but i think he is definatley aarons pet!! xxx

aww, i have had 3 Rats in my time, Alice my first lived to a ripe old age of 3.. pretty good in rat years, and she was brilliant, an excellent pet. The other 2.. Ron and Ron (they were brothers) were very tetchy and did not like handling so much, still good pets though.

yes definatley! i tested my boyfriend, i said that if we got one he would be clearing it outfeeding it etc, and he was well up for it, but i didnt mean it, we can both do it together, Aaron wouldnt even let me smoke near him, while he was running around he made us smoke oput the window!!!!! xx

I've had 4 rats in total. first ones were white albino's called....Pinky and the Brain second ones were completely different and called...Thelma and Louise! They were adorable, although Thelma didn't last long. They're fantastic pets...i'd love more but got nowhere to house them at the mo c x

i didnt realise how much cages cost!! we bought one for £70 but it included all the stuff to go with it...the woman told me to feed it what i eat...apprently its nocer for them and makes them smell less...so looks like he'll be having pasta tonight! lol...no i think i'll give him his normal food then some choccie for afters!! XX

lol, my Rats adored chocolate but especially maltesers. They did not like cheese though.

Jack, i was all up for holding him until i heard aaron yelp!...twice! it took ages for it to stop bleeding so it just gave me the giggles! i held him for about 1 minute then freaked out, he is lovely but i just gotta get used to him! my fella is working late tonight aswell and has already phoned to say i MUST let the rat out the cage as soon as im home and cuddle him!!!!????

Em, i heard that mice and rats dont like cheese..so whats with the cartoons?? lol xx

ive got no idea? lol but my cat on the other hand LOVES cheese!

Fluffy (my cat who lives with my mum) munches her way through loads of cheese and onion crisps xx

another thing my Rats loved were grapes... :)

i chopped up some tomatoe for him last night but he didnt touch it, might try with grapes now! lol...is there anything i can do or give him that they love? the woman in the shop said they love to have baths! LOL xx

yes but dont put them in the bath with you!! they dont half scratch! lol. Basically any biscuits will do.. but the more chocolate the better. I used to give them their proper rat food but suppliment it every day with a few tasty treats, variety seemed to be the way, and not too much... especially things like bananas that go off quick. Ritz biscuits were another favorite and apple peel oh and cerial.. coco pops, sugar puffs and cherios...

Riiiiiiight.... Don't think I'll be visiting again for a while.... lol - only joking! becx

They love rice and pasta too (well mine did)! c x

i was gonna give him some mushroom rice and tikka masala last night but didnt wanna give him curry bum! im having pasta tonight so might try that, have loads of easter eggs still aswell! xx

Thats one thing Rats never seem to have... a loose bottom! very resiliant animals they are :))

Steedie,I don't think you are mad at all.I really love rats,but them people think I am very odd. We have this folk memory of the rat infestations of the middle ages I suppose.I know that even today they say we are only ever 9 feet away from the sewer rats,but pet rats are different. They are highly intelligent. Did you know that they have been used to observe behaviour patterns. They respond much the same as humans to stress,over crowding and pressures of their society. The really do have nervous breakdowns and sit in corners rocking. It is amazing. I love them-Rose PS CATS AND CRISPS be careful of the salt levels,not good for cats

OMG! he will be like me then! when aaron starts playing on his mixing tables i end up pulling my haior out! LOL x
