chicks sister's house backs on to the watercress line. its good to take the kids on at christmas when they turn it into santa's train! and alton high street has the best hardware store in the world!! |

of course some parts of hampshire are posher than others. i for instance am from the wallops. V V V posh. whereas gosport and round there are complete dives! sniff! |

hi steedie, I lived in Alton when I was still single and in my later teens, it was great for nightlife although it being a small town. I used to catch the train to other places if I fancied a change of nightlife.....ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh the fantastic memories..That was when I used to work in Alton Day Care Centre for the adult s with leanring disabilities that was a fabulous job too.....I would go back there it was lovely!!! im in Essex at the moment! and work In London. Its just that i am so happy with where i live right now...and of course who i live with, so i suppose wherever we go we will be happy, but im just feeling iffy about it. xx |

Sheila, The murder, I presume was that of Sweet Fanny Adams. Paul - the Wallops - Posh!!!! LOL Try living in Winchester - people keep walking in to you cos they're so busy looking down their noses!! Some good pubs around Alton. The Flower Pot at Cheriton brews it's own beer!!! maggie |
