Thanks everyone :-) Of course we are aware that it is a big step that may not get anywhere, but to think they think he is good enough to look at has just confirmed my feelings on the matter ;-) and made David feel good. Anne...if he gets in i will let you know you can start bragging lol, my Dad is chuffed, he keeps saying his grandson WILL play for Palace...oh heck, what a family conflict that could be lol.. He has been doing a National Diploma in Sport at a local college as well as their football developement course and has played in tournaments in America. However he had decided that as it was not possible for him to make it as a professional now he would play for fun and concentrate on his studies....well...yesterday the England Under 21 coach was at the college, to monitor the teaching, and went up to my son and asked how often he played, after a brief chat he told my son that he was good enough to play far more, AND he is going to see about getting him some trials for the Under 21's!!! Am i a pleased Mum??? oh yes :-)) Even if it comes to nothing, it has made my son feel so much better, that i am smiling for England :-)) Yvette |
