Sorry about your disturbed sleep folks but I'm glad we didn't get that storm as grandson is camping with the cubs. Last time they camped, the hailstorm was so fierce that the tents had water gushing through and in the nearby town all the new cars on a showroom forecourt had to be repaired because the hailstones were so large they had caused dents. I hope you have a good day and a peaceful night. |

Morning Ann - I've just crept out of bed! - We're in Staple Hill. I suppose it started not long after 1am. I'd gone to bed in disgust because the computer kept losing connection. The thunder was an almost continuous rumble - no huge seperate claps of thunder but a constant loud crashing. It was the rain that got me up again - the noise of the cloudburst outdid the thunder! Christine - Watered the garden?....daren't look outside - mine's probably washed away! LOL Magsxx |

I heard a giant clap of thunder in the night, it woke me up. I half expected the kids to run in scared. But I dont think Harlow saw much of it as I dont remember hearing any more. Elaine x |

Mags, what part of Bristol are you in? We did not have it too bad, lots of lighteneing buut not much thunder, a few bursts of heavy rain, then it was gone. It looked like it came from Thornbury, then just slunk off again. |

Too true Julie, SHMBO said to me, go down and see how Megan is, she might be frightened. ( Our 9 month old puppy, never been in a storm before) the dog wasnt bothered in the slightest!!! LOL Bob |

Been up for an hour and just opened up on GR. If we had a storm in Harlow I slept through it. Ground is quite dry so I can only assume we didn't have one. |
