We have 'The Golden One' named Angel(us) as he thinks he's a bit of a Greek God. Actually he's Russian stock Golden Retriever and huge for 16 months. He usually gets Angelus, Monsterus, Stinkeramus, depending on his mood. Patch, a local stray that knows he gets fed, but doesn't want to live indoors. Soon to come home 'Tia' the new golden (she's four weeks) We've had Jimmy - the daftest bull terrier in history. Kahn - my personal favourite. Zeytin - (turkish for Olive - she's a black turk terrier size 3) My hubby's cat Laurel - his brother my flatmate got and he was .... yep, Hardy. Lolly as his pet name, as he was always lolling about. Only have 5 cats now - Misty (15), Kitty, son named her when he was little, (13), Tom (11) Jasmine (nearly 10) and Jasper, known as Ginge, her son (8). In the past we have had Anastacia (Stacey) a beautiful tortoiseshell and white, who was a rescue cat after someone threw her out of a car in the centre of London. She was our baby, but when the children were born she 'guarded' them and came to tell me if they were crying. We had her for 10 years, but we never really knew how old she was. When she died we had Timmy (ginger tom) and Lulu a beautiful black cat. She used to spend her days with my widowed neighbour because she didn't like small children (I was a registered childminder at the time) apart from my daughter who's cat she was. We also had Tinkerbell who was another rescue cat. After they all died, we decided we wouldn't have any more cats (had gerbils and fish at the time), but we really missed having a cat around, so when a friend's cat had kittens we thought we would have one. There were 3 in the litter and we couldn't choose - so we had all 3! Sadly Gizmo was run over aged 1 and Tabby was run over aged 3 (Kitty and Tom were their replacements) and now Misty is the only one of the 3 left. We live 15 houses from the end of a cul-de-sac and have had 3 cats run over (as have several neighbours) - where do these idiots think they are going so fast? They can't go anywhere except into the woods at the end of the road. Don't they realise the misery they cause? Sorry - rant over. Sue xx |

When I was young we had a dog called Susan, after the pig my mum and dad had when they first married, then a dog called Tessy (after Tessy O'Shea), a cat called Sooty, and a rabbit called Binky. My own pets included Lucy and Selena, two cats -one died and one disappeared, two more cats called Lucy and Selena again, then Selena turned out to be a boy so became Toby, then a cat called Chloe - she adopted me when I was pregnant, then a dog called Daisy. Don't have any pets at the moment but hope to have cats and a dog again soon. Really miss my animals. |

I had three gerbils called William Jonathan and Henry. Sadly William got pregnant. Then two gerbils called Gherkin and Dill. Rabbits - Raincloud and Snowy. Then Peter, who had his head bitten off by an urban fox. Cats - Penelope, Lenny (my all time favourite kitty) and Daisy from the same litter, then Jess and Polly the rescue cats. Most of them ended up as roadkill. Sad. Had a lovely dog called Bruce who died in a nasty house fire having barked to wake my parents (who survived) and now Ffion the tailless wonderdog from the rescue centre and all we have now is Ffion. |

Kizzy an all black moggi who is the boss of his territory,he tolerates Mirabelle because she was here first , often gives her a cuff when he comes in from the garden just to let her know who's boss, She just sais ' Yes ok you can think that bud ,but I .m not bothered'!!! Both were rescued cats who own us !!! Shirley |

Five cats (Mother nearly 16, kittens 14) called Muesli, Truffles, Twiglet, Nutmeg and Coriander. Didn't intend to keep them all but couldn't bear to give them away. Costing a fortune in boosters and other vets fees, cattery, food, litter etc. but worth every penny! Kittens born in cardboard box in lounge. |
