I would be very happy to have GB up here with us for Hogmanay...party at mine with Gaynor Bear on Kareoke!!! woohoooooo..... It doesnt matter to me one bit how long the Relay goes on for...and for anyone who did drop out I'm sure there will always be someone else who will step into the gap... Getting GB from Group 15 to us in Scotland Group 16 wont be any problem so long as someone can get her to the Border...I've already said I'm happy to travel there to pick her up and we do have somone just across the border anyway... Thank you all for your replies. You have really put my mind at rest, that the relay will not grind to a halt and members get fed up and decide not to participate after all. This has been a big worry for me. A very big Thank you to you all. Jenny xx |

Hi Jenny, As everyone else has said - it'll take as long as it takes....and anyway Stonehenge looks even more mystical when it has a dusting of snow!!! Well done on your achievements to date - you should very rightly be proud of yourself - take a gold star that lady!! Best wishes for further successful travels, Lucy x |

Surely the GB Relay takes as long as it takes....I give all the people who contributed to the fund a regular update and they are still interested..... I am sure that if she went round a second time they would welcome her back....if she went abroad before her return tour of Britain and had the passport and photos to prove it, even more funds would be raised....I haven't mentioned the calendar to anyone yet....... |

The 2006 Calender is going to be a collection of all the best photo's taken during the relay, voted for by members of the Relay. Not sure where the idea of having appropriate Photos have come from. Jenny.x |

Jenny - there shouldnt be any problem about how long it takes GB to complete her travels - will she ever? she has much to do and places to go and the longer it takes the more dosh she raises surely. You might need to think about the 2007 Calendar actually (rather than 2006) as I feel that she wont be suitably attired yet a while for appropriate pictures for each month. Anyway, she's enjoying herself so leave her alone - lol Jacqui |

Jenny.... thank you.... and I've been thinking about what will happen to her at the end and I for one think that Gaynor would love you to keep her especially as she has raised so much awareness and money along the way!! Please think about it as I know she has become part of you! :O) |

Pink, I think that would be a wonderful idea. Yes, she can go with you. But she must be kitted out in Safari Suit. Lol. Jenny xx |

I shall always feel responsible for Gaynor Bear. She is my baby. Lol. When I bought her and first saw her, I fell in love with her. The Relay has bought me so much pleasure and has really help me get back confidence that I had been lacking for a few years. I feel responsible for the smooth running of the Relay and like to be available to all members who are helping make it a wonderful event. It is going to be very hard to part with her when I get her back at the end of it all. I am just a born worrier, Lol. Jenny. xx |

Hi Jenny, I think its important for you not to feel responsible for GB any more. You did a wonderful thing in launching her on her travels and now you can sit back and gather that lovely dosh whilst all the group leaders/members take on the responsibilty. I certainly hope she will get to Chester before Jan 06 because then I am away for 3 mts. However, if thats the case, I'm sure our group will rearrange. WELL DONE YOU! |

Hi Jenny, I said right at the start that I thought the relay would take months, so no I don't have a problem with it. Just means we have to wait to decide where to take her. She can have tea at The Castle Hotel anytime. If she arrives around October/ November time she can visit one of our wonderful Somerset Carnivals. November 4th is the huge Bridgwater carnival & would be a perfect place for me to hand over to Bev but as I say I'm sure as long as we get to meet her, anytime will do. Stick with it & don't worry, it will all work out. Get some time neutral pics for this years calendar. Next year you can have a full range & for 2008 you will have Gaynors overseas adventures. |

I am so sorry but GB will not be able to leave the Country until she has finished her UK tour. I have already had to turn down offers of her going to the USA, Canada, Australia, to name but a few. I dare not change my mind and let her go now, else I would really upset some members. But she will be going abroad next year. She is going to Disneyland Florida with my Daughter at the end of August begining of September. To Maggi in Istanbul. Also to some Army Regiment's abroad. If all those planning to go abroad next year would like a chance to take GB with them then. Please let me know, and I will do my very best to help get GB to them. Jenny. x |
