... i can remember going to the local baths, with my school. when we all approached the water, we saw, floating about.. a rodent, a dead rodent.... what happened , you ask yourselves [if anyone is reading my mindless dribble !] did they close the baths for a day while afore mentioned orifice was emptied, cleaned and refilled ? did they condemn the place , never to be visited by hoards of snotty nosed kids again ? did it make the front page of the local papers? did it make the front pages of the nationals ? .................................................................................. NO ! a little man , with a special net for the task, popped out of his office. fished out the offending rodent... and.... we all jumped in and had our hour's lesson! my , how things have changed, lol. sue [ who has just returned from a chamber of trade meeting, wanting to eat every bit of red tape she can find !]

Sue could the rodents not swim in your area then! Where I lived every rat, mouse, even squirrel had to take there 25 metre swimming badge, and when they passed they were learnt life saving where they had to wear their rodent pyjama's and dive to the bottom of the swimming baths and rescue a lego building brick. They were also taught to life save a brown rat.In Manchester every rodent could swim very early in their life and it was a great success.
