My niece had a baby boy this morning. He is 5 weeks early and weighed 4lbs 4ozs - he's in ICU. He will have to stay in hospital for about 4 weeks or so. Nicky 'phoned me this afternoon to say ''he's perfect''. Luv Lorr x x x |

Hi again and thanks for all your good wishes. Nicky, my niece, 'phoned me earlier and she had a few tears. We're pretty close. Poor thing had to have a general anaesthetic and is a bit upset I think. Her brother's (my nephew) partner had their baby a little girl, Kayleigh Anne, 25/4 so there are 2 new babies now! The hospital is only up the road from me and it's hard knowing the little one's up there and fighting against the odds. I think he'll be ok but it's a bit worrying. Thanks again Luv Lorr x x x |

*******UPDATE******* I went to see the baby this afternoon. He's so tiny - half the size of my nephews (Nicky's brother) daughter, Kayleigh Anne who was born 25/4. She's 8 weeks on Monday. The baby's a week old tomorrow and he's doing so well they might let him home earlier than expected. They've named him Joseph, Paul, 'Douglas' (after my Dad). Happy Days! Luv Lorr x x x |
