Jenny, i am so glad i am not the only one who can't turn her brain off, lol...my hubby can't understand what i am on about when i say it. I wish i had some advice on the sleep issue Pink, but as i have the same problem at the moment and i am finding nothing works for more than a night at best, i can't help with it. I am pretty sure that its linked to all you have been through in recent months, maybe you need to spoil yourself a bit, it might not help but its a fun way to find out :-) I hope you are sleeping better soon. Jet lag, general anaesthetic, busy life, worries etc, etc. Hopefully it's not the start of the M word, although mine started at 37 and sleep patterns have definitely shifted. I also think that being on the pc too late can keep the mind too active. Time for Ovaltine I think!! Daisy |

I keep a special book at the side of the bed for nights when I can't sleep............... A Collection of Classical English Short Stories .......... it is the most boring load of pretentious **** and I am usually sound asleep before I finish one page. Look around a second hand bookshop and you'll find something similar I'm sure!! Failing that I get up and don't let myself go to sleep again until the following night. :-) Mandy |

Hi Diana, Just got your message Thanks for that!! I will get around it somehow! As for sleeping problems have you tried going out to your local homeopathic shop buying some pure essential oil in the form of Lavender! Dab this behind your ears on the dentations behind your earlobes but just slightly back from your jawbone also on your wrists just inline with your wristbones but running over your veins you can use this in conjuction with a cup of warm camomile tea!! to help relax your body and wind it down...go to bed after half an hour of dabbing the lavender and drinking the camomile tea.. I really do hope it is resolved soon as it really is no joke suffering sleep deprovation ! I know! Susie xx |

Diana Sounds as if you have done something to upset your body clock. Nothing like long-haul flights, west to east to do this (going against the sun - hence jet lag). The body clock is actuated by light. It can be reset although its years since I read up on it and I have forgotten the details. Part of the answer is to try and stay awake during the day and to be exposed to bright light when you want to wake - like having the curtains open at night (If you haven't got bright lights outside during the night) so the sun wakes you. The light logs on your senses. len ps. I can let you have a relaxation tape if you would like one, if you have an audio cassette player |
