Here's wishing your son a successful op. and a speedy recovery. You worry about them when they are little and at 16 he's still putting you through it! Poor lad. I can imagine that this has curbed his summer plans but thankfully young bones heal quite quickly, so hopefully he will be fine soon. Gwyn |

Youve got mine too. Unfortunately young men seem to get themselves into this sort of predicament, dont they? |

Hi Sioux, I hope all goes well for your son. I was in Aberystwyth hospital overnight when I broke my leg (although I came home for the op). The staff there were lovely. Gwynne |

My silly 16 year old son fell jumping a fence on Sunday night and badly broke both the radius & ulna in his forearm. I had to follow the ambulance to our nearest hospital wich is a drive of 40 miles for us, in Aberystwyth :( Had to leave to poor kid there drugged to the eyeballs. I didn't get home until 2am Monday morning. Had to be back there for 9am for the surgical rounds, then they decided that as it's going to take about 3 hours to fix with pins and plate that he'd have to wait until this morning. So I'm back off to the hospital this morning while he has his op. I'll be sending him healing myself, but I know how kind you lot can be, so if you have a spare moment a prayer would be lovely. Hopefully he'll be released by the weekend, but they're not promising. Thanks everyone XX Sioux |
