Once again, 'Thank you' to those who've added since my last post. You're all very kind. Len, I know what you mean - top of the heap - a sobering thought, isn't it? I just hope I don't go on till I'm 90+ like many of the other ladies in my family! Sal, Shame about your Granda too. Hope you're well. Look forward to seeing you, Seb and Ella again sometime soon. My sincere condolances ,and its even sadder when you think thats another link in the family gone, I started doing family research and I suddenly realised that I was the eldest member of the family still alive, it certainly makes you stop and think, now since my father died there's nobody to ask about what happened in the past, and what makes it worse, no one else in the family care's, its really sad May your god go with you. Hi Mary, What a shame - I'm so sorry. Take peace from the fact that she died peacefully and she had a very long life. Hopefully you will get the chance to know her family and, through them, get to know her. I never met my Granda but feel so close to him because of everything my Mam told me about him. Many thanks to all of you for your kind thoughts and good wishes. I'm very touched, and they are much appreciated. As some of you have said, I just wasn't meant to meet my Aunt. I just hope I get to meet the two who are still alive, otherwise there'll be no-one who remembers my Dad as a boy. CB >|< |
