Vivienne My mum told me about Jan 63 as i was 6 months old and we all slept in the livingroom with the fire on as it was so cold. Julie

Vivienne, I've been freezing all day and like Lindy I am off to put the heating on! Viv (ienne) in North Herts.

Hi All, Dawn I've been trying to resist wrapping up in my fleece blanket, I did that in the winter. Hubby was just trying to be macho Deanna! Wendy, I would but I want to watch To the ends of the earth, & anyway my first wedding was in Jan 1963. That was the worst winter for 25yrs & the whole of the south was under snow for about 6wks. I remember what cold is really like but this is supposed to be summer!!!!!!!! Having second thoughts about watching the above now, all they've done for the last couple of mins is puke. Vivienne

It was 30 + degrees in mallorca when we left yesterday. Thinking about getting my fur lined drawers on today elaine x

not at the shivering stage yet, although, I am tempted to put the heating on just to take the nip out the the house, but might get me pj's and fluffy dressing gown on instead.

This is the second thread that I've seen today commenting on the cold or the wet in Devon/Somerset/Cornwall. I was sooo looking forward to my holiday but I think that I had better throw in a few more sweatshirts by the sound of it LOL :)) Chrissie x
