my partner is on the reserve list for the army and this morning we received a letter asking him to do 9 and a half months duty in Iraq starting october 3rd this year. luckily for us he has problems with his knees so will not be going. coincidental though for this happening a week after the london bombings so have no idea what is going to be happening. im just pleased even though i take the mick about his knees that he actually does have a problem with them. just thought i would let people know in case there are some of you on the reserve list. annie (24 left) |

I thought I read in the papers at the weekend that the UK and the USA had plans to withdraw their troops from Iraq shortly - so does that mean that the full-timers will come home and the reservists will go in their place? I sincerely hope not. Jacqui |
