Hi, I have read the first 2 Harry Potters but cannot see what all the fuss is about. They are 'good reads' but, for me, not a patch on the Narnia books or the Hobbit. They are not that original - other people wrote about boarding schools for witches before JK. But I'm all in favour of anything that encourages children to read - even Enid Blyton. Gwynne |

Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit are really great books, I was never interested in them until hubbie got the first one out on rent, they took abit of getting used to but my son became addicted to them straight away...I suppose just like many kids are loving the Harry Potter books :) |
