Firstly I would like to thank the many people who have posted the information about I.C.E. (IN CASE OF EMERGENCY) recently and all those who have passed on the email too. I think it is one of the most important messages in a long time - I for one was always making sure when my son left home he had a slip of paper with him giving my name and contact number (in the days before moble phones, which can be stolen anyway). I was amazed at how many of his frends went out and about in their early teens especially with no i.d. on them at all. BUT: there were so many messages on here on the same subject, that I wished folk had just checked that they were not overegging the pudding by adding another. I have noticed many times also that some people just read the heading of a thread without reading further on, and either answer insensitively or repeat others' responses, and others post the same or similar thread when something major happens. Also, please check when you have posted, that you have spelled the person's name right - it sometimes seems disrespectful to have an incorrect name on a sensitive thread. Not being critical, honestly, these are just my thoughts - but the threads would be easier to go through without so many repeats! Hope I haven't offended anyone through saying this, not my intention, just my thoughts to make life a little easier. Everyone on here seems wellmeaning and kind (apart from the odd few who we won't mention!!) and I am not knocking that kindness. Liz |

Re the first message... My family and I have added the ICE numbers!! Secondly i do agree that some folk do not read the whole thread and get the whole story. Thirdly, none of us are fool proof and often our finger work faster than our brains and mistakes are inevitable!! I disregard mis spelt words as a slip of the finger!! Karen |
