Would anyone know if there was such a place as the Oriental Gas Company in Calcutta. India. Apparently my dad worked there. |

Hi Carole found this Greater Calcutta Gas Supply Corporation Ltd (GCGSCL) inherited the technical skill and experiences of Gas culture from Oriental Gas Company’s Undertaking (OGCU), the first company to illuminate the streets of City of Calcutta since 1857. GCGSC became a proud ally of modern & technologically advanced Energy giant – Coal India Ltd (CIL) by distributing coal gas produced by it in its DANKUNI plant.
