Paul/Sharon Sorry for last night, I didnt mean to panick anyone, I just wanted you to take notice of what could be! I think, talking to NHS Direct, or someone similar can help to put the mind at rest. If the bruises appear again, I think you are being wise, when you say Sharon will visit her doctor.. Glad all is ok Maz x |

Just putting my nurse's hat on a minute - When they say raise her leg it only has to be higher than her heart. She does not have to sleep with her legs in the air a couple of pillows under her feet would do it. I had a lovely picture in my mind. I agree with the others be concerned especially if it happens again. |

Paul, Could it possibly be a horsefly bite. I've had 2 of them, one my whole calf was black/ purple and the other was on the back of my left hand. They looked awful. Kim |

Morning all, Well, the bruise is much as it was last night - about 2' across and a deep purple/black. Looks worse than it feels though by the sounds of it. Really does look like she's been hit by a cricket ball or similar. Hopefully it's just a one off, but if there's any repeat she'll be off to the doctors. Paul ps, how is the throat Wendy ? |

Hi Paul, hope Sharon's leg is better today. I am covered in bruises, especially on the thighs, but as someone else said, due to medication. Hope all is well. M. |

Not an insect bite is it? As you say, may just be a vein. |
