I'd love to own anything Pre-Raphaelite, especially one by Millais or Rossetti. I would really love to own Ophelia by Millais or Proserpine or a Sea Spell by Rossetti. Gwynne

I'd buy any work I could get my hands on by Bridget Riley Piet Mondriaan Gustav Klimt John Constable Vincent van Gogh Claude Monet I find it impossible to choose a favourite painting, as that changes all the time. I agree with Donna about Monet's paintings of water. When I was in my teens, I'd sit for ages in The National Gallery, taking in the montage of his waterlilies displayed as 3 large panels. Very relaxing. CB >|<

I would buy Liverpool Docks by moonlight (I think that's what it's called) by Atkinson Grimshaw, because it is so atmospheric and my husband also likes it. Or anything by Matisse as I find his paintings uplifting & inspiring. nell
