Happy Birthday Alan, another one to share my birthday with, hope you enjoy your day. Is Frances helping with your hotel booking now? I drove past the Central today on Riverside road, it is a very busy road, the hotel is in a row of terraced houses, opposite the river and yacht station, and only a few minutes from the railway station and a very busy crossroads. Could be a bit noisy if your room is at the front although it is within 20 minutes walking distance of the city centre. The Pearl is a little further out on the same road as the railway station but is like a big old house (I think) set in grounds just off the road, so probably quieter. Let me know if you do need my help. Liz |
