Shirley~I,m getting the hang of it Report 26 Jul 2005 16:32

Yes !!! was trying to reassure our moggie PUSS PUSS that the noises he heard when he wanted out was only the grape vine we have growing over the back of the house. Stood in the dooway & tried to explain' theres nothing here you silly boy' Silly me !! stood in the doorway of double glazed door which had a lip on the floor, looked skywards as I talked to the cat, lost me balance & fell outwards on to the patio, thank god fell sidewards!! as if fell staight would have killed meself against raised fish pond. my hubbie was still at work on late shift, had to wait over an hour for him to arrive home, He took me to A& E at Medway Hos. & I had brokem my arm when I fell Was the only time I have broken anything!! wouldnt want to repeat it. Was in agony Shirley

No. The only person in my immediate family who's broken anything is my eldest son - he broke his collarbone NOT playing rugby, but in some silly horseplay at his primary school when he managed to get his heaviest friend to fall on top of him. My father, now dead, broke his arm using a car starting handle (remember them?) My mum had a bad hand at the time, so because I was too small to use a bread knife we had to eat pre-sliced bread for a while. nell

I broke my left ankle. Was doing a gymnastics element aged 17 and tried to do a somersault off the side of my foot. My ankle went CRACK! and I landed on my head. X ray showed a centimetre gap across my ankle which did not fully heal. Still have a few millimetres gap. Was in plaster for 2 months. And it still aches 8 years later. Natalia x
