Hi Elaine that's a good reason to have it nice to keep in touch with your brother so easily. Hi Daisy lovely to see you back I missed you, I meant to email you yesterday I am sorry it sounds like I forgot you but I couldn't do that now could I? Anyway that's what I thought I am supposed to be busy but I keep checking here instead, can't be doing chatting and checking other places too. Ah well no hassle things will get done eventually, I'm definitely going off now. Speak later x Love Pat x |

Hi Pat Good to have you back. I cannot get on with MSN at all. Half the time it doesn't recognise my password anyway so I just stick to a couple of groups which I dip into infrequently and forget about the chat. Bad enough spending so much time on here anyway without doing MSN too! Daisy |

Ive only a handfull of people on my msn list. These are people I trust, and anything said in confidence to me stays right there. I only ever reveal info which is private (my info not others) to those I trust. Its no different from talking on the phone to a friend. But its free....especially when im talking to my cuzzy in Germany lol ! Elaine x |

Hi Gwynne :-) I am sure you enjoy and why not enjoy MSN but like has been said it can be good and bad same as everything else, misuse of a good thing I call it. Hi Lynda Agree with you in cyber world we DO NOT know each other really, we may find common ground likes and dislikes but its only in the real world that we begin to know each other, cyber world is only a beginning not the end, that's definitely true. I am well and eating for England at the mo taken full advantage of NO PAIN, that makes so much difference, thanks for your thoughts :-) Hi CB, Wish I could say things like you, thank you for adding your always very intelligent and thoughtful comments, they are always appreciated. x. Paul I know you are not here so much and I miss you at times, but its always good to see you. Pat x Oops sorry Little Ray typing same time that's a good reason to use it but it is a pity some seem to see other uses for a useful tool. Pat x |

I use MSN every day, but I only do that becuase if i didn't there would be a huge thread between me and little jewels with us taking the mick out of each other lol wot i'm trying to say is, that I only use it so me and her in doors don't clog the board up with boring stuff about my life that no-one's really interested in. I'd never use it to cause trouble on here c x |

I have to say I agree with every word Pat has written. I've said exactly the same thing myself several times on here, having never been an MSN user myself, apart from posting Relay messages and photos. There are those who obviously love MSN and will defend it to the last - nothing wrong in that in my book, but I do object to spats from there, or anywhere else, lowering the friendly tone of the GR Boards. This is NOT the place to carry on feuds or fight battles, it's a place for discussion and sociable banter. If you want to fight, please do it elsewhere - and if you don't like what I've said, please remember I'm not having a pesonal dig at you, I'm just wearing my 'FORTHRIGHT' badge, as bestowed upon me by one of this Board's gentlemen. ;>) CB >|< |

Hi Pat, I have msn and I really enjoy chatting to friends from all over the place on it. My list of GR contacts is very short but I do enjoy talking to the ones I chat to regularly. I don't think it's just msn that causes problems. People talk on the 'phone and at meets and what they say isn't always nice, I've been told. People will gossip and if not on msn will find somewhere else. I have heard that some people copy msn conversations and send them on to others which seems a bit much, especially if they are 'altered' before being passed on. So if anyone gets a copy of my continued moans about costume-making please ignore it. Speaking of which ..............I really should be elsewhere. Gwynne x |

Hi Maz sometimes it is true you and I know very well. Hi BC my fave Grandma x Yes Dee a minefield. Hi Paul always good to see you, hope all is well with you and Sharon? Yes it is the people as its the people who make or break a place. I did say it wasn't it all but I cannot help saying its the Number one culprit. Pat x |

MSN is just a place to discuss. No different to private messages on here or emails. its not the tool, its the people that are at fault. |

Pat, I have to heartily agree with you. I joined MSN (thought it was the 'thing' to do!) but for some reason, didn't want to continue as I felt uneasy about it. I dont use it now. I am sure it is responsible for a great deal of the unrest on these Boards. XX BC |

Think you are spot on as usual Pat, It can be used for abuse! I use it every day, but the beauty of it, is those that 'start' can be blocked, which I have recently had to do! It is an excellent way to communicate with friends though! Hope you are feeling better babe Maz x |

I have often sat reading these boards and have been very lost, by injokes in fighting digs at people and their posts, sometimes I feel very inadequate reading stuff on here as I cannot make head or tail of it all. I do wonder why sometimes but other times I know very well why. I have never had or never wished to be part of MSN I spend enough time going through General and Tips here to be on something else as well. What I will say is so many people have left GR over the time I have been a member some very good people, many I miss a lot, what strikes me about it all is they blame GR and these boards but I know for a fact that most of the trouble here does not start HERE! its brought over from somewhere else to here and I for one feel that is the best reason why I do not want to join MSN and I will not be joining. I wish it would stay where it belongs and that place is not on the general board. Had to say its been a longtime bubbling inside, but I feel better for at least posting this. Pat x Oh and before someone says it isn't just MSN I know its not ALL MSN but its the number one culprit in my book. |
