Hi David - I'm the original 'Contrary Mary' - husband says he likes it as he never knows what to expect, lol!

Yes, David. I'm forthright, aren't I? Well, that's what you said. I know some people find that hard to take, but I'd rather be honest and have folks know where I stand than give a false impression that I'm some sweet, fluffy bunny, instead of a tough old boot. CB >|<

pmsl Sue - Paul got in first so to speak. I was getting ready with a reply lol CB & Sheila - again I don't see these as faults:) I love forthright people and a bit of contrariness makes life more interesting (altho other half disagrees) Mike - sarcasm may be a low form of wit but it's better than none at all ;)

I am usually considered to be too soft because I will always give someone the benefit of the doubt. And I hate confrontation or extreme emotions.

Len of the Chilterns Report 29 Aug 2005 23:20

When I managed a team (Accountancy profession) my peers accused me of being soft and too kind-hearted. My team always got better results though and staff turnover was exceptionally low. len Ps I don't much like arrogance but I do like those who are forthright and artless.

Deb Vancouver (18665)

Deb Vancouver (18665) Report 30 Aug 2005 07:32

I find my honesty a fault. I call a spade a spade. Unfortuanatly some people have a problem with this. My Dad always said to me 'think before you speak'. I guess he could see my personality way back then. I have just mastered his advice within the last few years. I have learnt over the years to be more 'tacktful' how I say things. I come across as a 'she who must be obeyed', type, but as one of the girls at work said, my bark is worse than my bite. I'm a fair, honest person at heart, and expect others to be the same. Maybe my honesty is a fault, but I like honesty Deb (thread killer)
