I used to get fed up with some lessons and bunk school and go swimming, especially in the summer....but I still managed to pass all my exams.......and when I left school I carried on with further education at the local College whilst working......I love to learn, but found some f the lessons a bit boring.....

Started school in 1945 and loved primary school and was always good at lessons, never in trouble, always in the top 3.. went to High school, one of the youngest in year, one of the smallest as well, a total mouse, got bullied a bit but didn't let it bother me so they gave up. Didn't do very well at High school, left with 2 O levels, couldn't keep up, grew to hate it and was glad to leave in 1956. went into the Civil service, loved the job, did well. Left had children, went to further education and got 2 A levels and 3 more O levels and GSCE economics, went back into the civil service and did even better. proved to myself that I wasn't thick. All through my early school years I was just an average behaved kid, but when I moved to grammar school I was a little s*d. It was a catholic school, and the thing I detested most was religion. so I rebelled.

I would never say boo to a goose. Now all the geese turn tail and run with much flapping of wings.
