Did it - must have been the size of my baskets! LOL! The carpet is good as new, and car doesn't even smell. It might go a bit rusty in a few years though! Anna |

The first night of our camping trip, i poured myself a vodka and coke in tourchlight, i was just about to take a sip when i saw a daddylonglegs(as i call them, Ginnyspinners) wriggling in it and ive been plauged by them ever since and im home now, orrible things. When i looked closer at my drink, its legs had come off and my youngest daughter(9yrs) said tey came off because it were toxic Pip. |

Cliff you've made the page so wide the reply button is under the jobs advert!!!!!! SPIDERS I have ENORMOUS spiders living on my stairs. Last night I got the steps out to get a dead one down, it was all bundled up in a web........... it wasn't dead. Jumped off steps .............. had a whiskey to steady my hand (it had to go coz you couldn't get past it to go to bed) and got the spider catcher. Took it outside to flick it away and the damn thing wouldn't let go. The neighbours now know that I am mad............ doing a sort of war dance waving my arms about in the middle of the night in the front garden!!!!!!!!!! (wish I'd taken it out back now!) :-) |

hi joan, we have had loads of em the last few days ! why are they so stupid ? and is it true they only live for a few hours..... probably mainly cos they are so stupid ! i ran a bath tonight, and watched one of em dive straight under the water flow.... silly sod ! too late to save the poor thing ! sue. |

the cranefly, lays its eggs in your lawn............ the grubs are called leather-jackets, you see the birds pecking on your lawn,looking for a snack, no harm in them, just look scary with the long legs. Ok you lot. I am not scared of Daddylonglegs. We too have had loads during the last week. I welcome them in and let them all have their fling. Half the time they cannot wait to be let out again. Never ever heard of one bite. Thining of changing my name. How does Jennylonglegs sound. Jenny xx |

What's the problem? They don't bite, sting, eat clothes or make a mess, they are easy to catch and I think they are quite graceful. Lindy I love Hertfordshire spiders too - we have several in our house, but they are not called Fred. There's Mick, SonofMick and Blu-tack, all christened by my sons. nell |

Loads of them up here......and Lemon's right.....we call them Jenny Long Legs..LOL My 10 year old daughter has a real phobia about them and last year, on a camping holiday, I had to sit up half the night catching the bu**ers before she freaked out! Christine |

I hate em, horrible dangly legged things. We've got loads here - plus frogs, moths and snails, i even got another frog in my downstairs loo the other day - not a nice experience lol |
