You're all invited round mine. It's vegetable stir fry - baby corn, mushrooms, spring onions, beansprouts and water chestnuts in black bean sauce served on a bed of noodles. I've done enough to feed an army. The neighbours were supposed to be round for dinner but their washing machine has flooded their kitchen, so they're damp, flustered and hungry. |

You're right about the brussels Glenys - probably best I couldn't get them if I'm having a house full. Can you imagine the air?!!! Jeanette - I love love love suet puddings, so heavy and comforting. And Bendy one - I searched for pink fluffy crackers everywhere yesterday and couldn't find any - so pleased you have!! I'm not like this all the time - but miserable on days like this I love being in the kitchen pottering on. Got 12 adults, possibly 14 and 3 kids for Christmas day so it's all good practise. But I'll sit down to eat it tonight and fancy beans on toast instead I'm sure - always the way! x |

Well first of all, I'm really sorry that some of you have had rain today; it's been lovely and sunny here all day (I know, I know, I said I'm sorry!!). But on the tea front, I'm a cheapskate today. In Sainsbury's they had large pasta bakes (bolognese, meat balls, etc) on 'BOGOF' offer, so we're having the free one lol! Mandy :) |

Wow Emma! Put me down for a big helping of everything! lol My lot like either Yorkshires or roast suet puddings with just about every meal. The only time I get away with not doing them is with Xmas dinner. There's just too much other stuff to be cooked and eaten! |

for those that are coming for Christmas dinner early we're having turkey sausage meat stuffing nutmeg mash pots roast pots cauli cheese buttered leaks carrots in my special honey and mustard glaze crushed swede pigs in blankets green beans and brocolli couldn't get sprouts I'm afraid, but we are having yorkshire pudding. I find that strange with a turkey dinner but my partner's a Scot and hadn't had them till he met me, and it's now a must with any kind of roast dinner! funny fella. homemade sticky toffee pudding and cream for afters. (should be in good books for a wee while shouldn't I!!) |

We were on our way to yours, Emma, when we got stuck in a traffic jam. We eventually made it home and we're now having spaghetti bolognese topped with grated cheese, plus a side salad. All washed down with red wine for Bob and I, fruit squash for the kids. x |
