Sue, I can honestly say its a beautiful place. Even not counting the scenery the people were so friendly, I've heard others say that but its true. Even when we arrived at the cottage - there was home made bread and an apple pie and they'd even bought milk!! One thing they weren't impressed with though was our dancing!..... went the pub Thurs night as it was a music night so we thought great sit and listen! My foot --- or should I say 2 left ones lol -- they tried to teach us Irish dancing and a jig type thing! I didn't disgrace myself ---- I did a 'waltz' xx |

Mike Glad you had a good holiday. Went to Kerry and Dingle for the second time earlier this year. Love the place. Did the boat trip out to the Great Blasket Island which is well worth a visit. Ireland is one of my fav. holiday places. Lyndax |

Mandy, You were all so right. Ann, I'd recommend to anyone it was great . Daniel, Cheers - go if you can, but they're so laid back it probably wouldn't shock them! But you got to have a flat cap! Bev, Weather was good, sunny except Weds when it was the odd shower--- it was cold that night so we lit the peat fire!! We must have been only ones hoping it would turn cold so we could light the fire!! It was glowing and we were melting lol No coats all week so shows how mild it was and the sunsets!! great. |

Hi again. Sounds a nice place. Never been to Ireland but have got family there who don't speak to each other, so I may go one day and shock them. (If I knew their names and other little details) The boards - Anyone's guess |

Hi Everyone, I'm back ! No groaning xx As some of you know went over to Killarney, Ireland. What a fabulous place. We toured the Ring of Kerry and also the Dingle. I've never seen such great scenery. I thought the Brecons are beautiful, but Kerry was stunning! Every time you turned a corner there was another magnificent view-- mountains and lakes everywhere. We even thought they'd put the flags out for us as everywhere was a green/gold or red flag -- soon found out it was All Ireland football match today between Kerry and Tyrone -- like a Cup Final here. Anyway, enough of me prattling on. Just to let you all know I really enjoyed myself and plan to go back ( well the women were stunning too!) and there was no feeling of guilt. Mum got a poem and a memento at a place called Ladies View overlooking a view of lakes. xx ps... whats happened to the Board? print size I mean.. |
