I've switched to the *com version but have just checked the uk version and it seems to have disappeared. Had the same response as Gwynne and Vikki and a further reply to say that comments have been passed to marketing. Daisy

Swap the CO* Uk for (dot COM)- they are certainly a lot less , and dont obliterate half the screen . why have some got e bay and some autotrader? Baffles me! jess

I've just logged on & getting the e-bay pop-ups. How very annoying!!! How are you supposed to read a thread when these are blocking the screen? Beats me, think I'll log off & get on with the housework instead Sarah, xxx

Jenny I think someone mentioned on another thread that it's something to do with animated pop ups. The advertisers can get round the block. Daisy

What I cannot understand is, why our popupblockers are not blocking it. Is it immune to blockers and is this a sign of things to come with all pop ups? Jenny. x

I've sent GR an email as this isn't happening on any other site and is obviously something to do with them. It appears every time I change page or view a thread and at the exact moment that I go to select a tab. Grrrr! Daisy

I've done as Alan said & used *(com) not *(co.uk).....it works....no more pop ups for me...... ....hope i'm not speaking too soon!!

Don't worry about my thread Daisy :o) It should have had a more obvious title! Have now discovered that I can change boards without closing the box and if I scroll down a bit I can't see it - that's the best I can do for now :o( In comparison the 'silly tart' is quite lovable! lol Helenxx
