Howard, Outwardly a brilliant suggestion, but would there be enough water left for ME to do the washing up - as I said, that might be her devious thinking. Nice to see on earlier replies that I,m not the only one with the same problem. Best wishes. Happy days |

I only put that tea bag thing in to pacify any feminists. I ALWAYS throw them round shrubs in my garden - clematis in particular seem to love them, my soil being nearly pure sand. Happy days |

Thank you girls. It could just be that she works out that there is enough water left for ME to do the washing up. Buttercup - only if you have garibaldi biscuits as well. Happy days |

well Harry I always fill my kettle to the top - just in case a friend drops in just as it reaches the boil, when my Nan was still alive her kettle was always boiling on the range - she used to keep topping it up to stop it boiling dry!!!!! kes |

After 46 years of trying, how do I stop my good lady from boiling a full kettle of water to make a single cup of tea? I can,t see any rhyme or reason to it. Would it help if I stopped leaving tea-bags in the sink (put the last bit in to appease any feminists amongst you). Happy days |
