Peter, His negligence has caused the death of an innocent, which ever way you look at it, in my eyes hes guilty of 'manslaughter' and should be in prison!! to many people are getting away with crimes that they should be in prison for, only this morning on the news they were talking about letting prisoners out early to stop over crowding, well if they treated crimes in a responsible way and gave correct sentences to start with this would not be an issue. Bryan, I can understand your anger, I feel angry just thinking about it. |

I believe somebody did inform on the bloke next door, a traffic warden was down here several weeks ago taking the details of the car next door, guess what it's still there! It's no good them putting these adverts on saying we knowif you haven't taxed your car, they have to register it in the first place. I think the majority of these people don't do that. Or give false addresses. The bloke the other side of me who's always in trouble/prison etc., he started driving a car last year again, although he had been banned he was picked up numerous times by the police for it but guess what he just carried on. Why don't they just take the cars off these people why they are banned, they may pick up another car but keep taking them off them when they are caught. We are paying a huge amount each year in road tax, petrol duty and insurance why should these people get away with it. |

Hi Bryan I don't blame you for being angry I think it's disgusting. Roxanne I agree with you about the manslaughter charge. I think the problem is the law as it stands. It needs to be changed so that anyone who kills a person can be charged with manslaughter and not just careless/dangerous driving if it's negligence ie speeding, bald tyres, uninsured/banned etc |

I can't agree more with Julie. The trouble is that virtually the whole of traffic law enforcement goes into the speed limit enforcement area, with two million convictions per year, whereas we all see, every day, careless and dangerous driving, mobile phone use, unroadworthy vehicles, traffic light jumping, illegal right turns, and so on, ad infinitum. Now that the darker evenings are with us it is obvious the approximately one in twenty vehicles has a lighting fault; headlights or tail lights not working, or faulty brake lights, but there is zero enforcement. |

I agree with everything that's been said. Also, some other truly shocking stories. Wendy, it wouldn't surprise me if this moron really did do that. It's been done before (can't remember the details), but don't remember the outcome. |

Wendy, that is awful (and I'm being polite here). I hope sooner rather than later he gets what should be coming to him, and your lad gets to hear of it first. x |

might i just add to this,i can see where peters coming from but theres such a thing as reckless driving,if i threw a stone and hit someone the fact that i threw it in the first place would be reckless, even if i did,nt intend to hit that person i still threw it,do you see where im coming from ,so had his tyres been ok ,the accident might not have happened,xx joy |

In my opinion it is about time we got rid of the 70mh limit and allowed drivers to drive as fast as the road conditions permit. On the other hand, any injury caused by his car would be considered to be deliberate, and he (or she) would be treated in exactly the same way as someone hitting with a weapon. |

Debi. Just read your post regarding the untaxed man I mentioned. Last week he had a Aug 05 disk. Today he had a Nov 05 disk. On the public road. Looked carefully at the disk. It was hard to read as it looked as if it had been washed, but it was for an M reg car. His is a G reg. Phoned the police and they took all the details then said it was a matter for the DVLC. and the local council. (Even tho he had a false tax disc which was probably stolen.) Jewsons who are next door, said he has already had two cars crushed for no tax. David |
