Hi there Donna Well done!! It was a great day and the speech was wonderful, so moving and then the flowers for Susie ........ ooh!! But I did get piccies of you both, which will send to you both and/or post on GC Photos. It was very moving too to have Rob and family with us, so difficult for them especially, but I'm sure they appreciated our thoughts. Lovely to meet ''old friends'' again, and Len in particular so good to see you and intrigue us with the ''Spirit World'' theories!! and to meet Helen again and new girl Kal - really looking forward to seeing everyone and more next year. Thank you for organising it !! xx

I'd just like to thank you, Donna, for organising a lovely meeting yesterday and for your great speech. You needn't have worried as you delivered it really well (even though people were dissolving into tears around you!) It was good to see everyone again. Helen

You did good! And yes the Pink Fund is amazing - its every single one of yours so be very very proud of yourselves!! As I said yesterday - without GR I wouldn't have raised the first £3k I needed to do China, so to think we're nearly at £30k is a feat to be proud of.

Sorry all, I was out at 4, but I raised a glass of Pink Grapefruit Squash to Gaynor last evening. Always in our memories.

Sorry I couldn't be there Donna it sounds like a very emotional day. I was supposed to be there but something else happened (unplanned) and I KNOW Gaynor would have been happy that I was doing what I was doing! Love to you all, especially Rob, Jack, John, Clare, Dean and the kids! becx

It was a great afternoon, thank you Donna. Although numbers were down on last year, in a way it was more successful as, apart from a few glued to bar seats, grouped as we were in one room around a large table, everyone could talk to and see everyone else and interesting discussions took place. Your speech was fine and it meant a lot to us all. len

Isnt the Pink fund amazing Helen!! Almost 30k so far! Gaynor would have been so proud xx

Unknown

Unknown Report 16 Oct 2005 22:22

Donna thank you for posting your speech - it was the next best thing to being there. Gaynor was an amazing person, and perhaps the most amazing thing about her was that she didn't think she was amazing! But she has helped others to be amazing too - look at what you did after the tsunami and what Diana and so many GR folk have done with the pink fund! nell

Hiya I'm glad you all had a lovely time. I wish I could have been with you. I have put next year's date in my diary. I sat in the kitchen this evening with my (faded) yellow rose and Gaynor's card and prayed for her and her family and friends. Hope that's OK. Love Annie xxxx
