What does a beaver blower do? My aunt had a 'scavenger' in hers. Apparently its the same as a bin man nowadays. |

All rather tame, lots of ag labs, but I did have a rellie who was the parish beadle, assistant overseer, vestry messenger & coroner's officer. Husband had a gauger in his tree - someone who gauged the amount of liquor in a barrel for tax purposes. Most changes of profession is husband's gt grandfather, who was a messenger boy, carman, wharf labourer, confectioner, mineral water travelling salesman and publican. nell |

A gg-grandfather was a gold-cutter. I think that's the most interesting - mainly because I'm not quite sure what a 'gold-cutter' is. Oh, I forgot, I've also a comedian, and a wheel-tapper. |
