Christine I am no expert but as I understand it. Choice one....(You have no money) You will devote yourself to the religion and therefore live and work in the Scientology Community. This means that you will be paid pocket money. Board and keep are covered. Choice two....(For the likes of Tom Cruise and John Travolta) You will devote yourself to the promotion of the Religion (How much is that worth in advertising???). You will also pay a % of your income OR make generous donations to the cause. Chris

I believe you also have to take 'lessons' and 'courses' throughout your life to enable you to get nearer to God. These lessons and courses of course, cost money, and you have to do them regularly!!! maggie

Anyone that tells a woman not to make a noise during childbirth and then even worse that for the first 3 days they aren't allowed to make a noise around the baby even to comfort it is in my eyes way off base.

I'd join it! Only because I'm curious and would love to find out it's secrets and expose them to the world! Did anyone see Richard and Judy a few weeks ago? They had a scientologist on there. She kept contradicting herself! The same woman was on This morning....... erm..... this morning!!!

I was at a physic fair years ago did one of their personality tests and bought a book. Now I certainly wasn't thick but couldn't make head nor tail of it. Read a few pages and got rid of it. But they didn't leave me alone for years after I got mail through the post. That went in the bin too. After watching the interview this morning no wonder i couldn't understand it. Aliens etc.!!!!.
